PRIVACY & YOUR DATA

Understand where your work lives.

This page describes the current public beta of Firmark Secure. The workspace saves projects and templates in your browser; it does not provide an account-based project database or automatic cloud backup.

Projects, drawings, and templates

The app stores project records, imported drawings and images, templates, equipment settings, and saved revisions in this browser’s local storage databases. Importing a client document into the editor does not upload that document to a Firmark project server.

This storage belongs to the website origin and browser profile. Other profiles and devices do not automatically see it. People who can use the same browser profile may be able to open its locally saved work.

The homepage’s interactive demo uses a separate practice database in this browser. It does not open or replace your workspace’s projects or templates. Resetting the demo starts a new practice session; leaving the page requests deletion of that session’s temporary database. Download a backup to keep practice work.

Backups, transfers, and deletion

Download .camlayout backups to keep independent copies of projects. Export templates separately when transferring a template library. Files you download are managed by your device and by any file-sharing or backup services you choose to use.

Clearing this website’s browser data can remove locally saved projects, templates, and settings. Keep backups before clearing it. Deleting local data does not delete copies you have already downloaded or shared.

Maps and address searches

Use device location asks your browser for one position after you choose it and grant permission. Coordinates stay with the local project. Opening a map shares the viewed area with Google; there is no continuous location tracking. You can type an address or coordinates instead.

Using online maps, address suggestions, building data, or optional 3D review makes requests to Google services. Those services receive the search or map information needed for that feature, along with normal connection information. This is separate from uploading a client drawing.

The homepage demo loads a Google aerial map of the public Galveston sample automatically. It uses the sample’s fixed location, not your device’s location or saved projects.

Use an imported drawing without a map when a mapped site is not needed. Google's handling of its services is described in the Google Privacy Policy.

Website delivery and analytics

The website is hosted using Firebase Hosting. Like other hosted websites, loading pages and assets makes network requests to the hosting provider.

Firmark Secure uses Cloudflare Web Analytics for cookieless visit and performance measurement on the production domain. The app does not send project contents or custom camera-editing events to that analytics integration. It skips loading the analytics script when the browser signals Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control.

The embedded practice workspace does not load a second analytics beacon. Firmark does not count its editing actions as separate public visits. Visit reports are not a count of identifiable people or a project activity feed.

See Cloudflare Web Analytics and Cloudflare's Privacy Policy for provider information.

Help and future changes

If you contact support, the information you choose to send leaves your browser through that communication channel. Remove unnecessary client information before sharing a report.

Contact links open your email application. This website does not submit a contact form or automatically attach project files to an email.

Accounts, automatic sync, and AI document analysis are not active in the public beta. Any future release that changes how project data is handled will need an updated explanation here. Contact and help are available on the support page.

In browsers that support browser-agent tools, an agent you use can request local site names, IDs and equipment counts, or open a saved site. These commands do not upload drawings or project files and refuse to switch sites while an editor has unfinished work. They are separate from the planned AI document importer. Your browser controls which agents may use its tool interface.
